Living close to the Exe estuary I see these colours in the the mud banks as the tide recedes and hear the birds coming in to land and feed on the treasures left behind. I use 8 different dyes blended to create the colours for this beautiful lampshade. Each shade has been individually printed with a blend of colours to create a unique shade to hang or fit onto a lamp-base. I draw the line images by hand and these are printed over the top of the blended background.
